I think one of my favorite things about photographing weddings is being able to work with my husband as a wedding photography / wedding DJ duo. We offer a special discounted package if you book us together and until March 1st it’s even MORE discounted. We’ve worked with so many incredible couples over the years and I can’t wait to see what kinds of weddings 2019 has in store. Our basic package is $3200 and includes 6 hours of photography & 5 hours of DJ-ing time. Jill & Peter's Wedding | PDX Wedding Photography

Jill & Peter's Wedding in Portland, Oregon was the last one of the year. It was such a great, low-key way to end the season. It's been an insane year, and I'm back in Virginia visiting family and preparing for next season. I've already met with some amazing clients and I have a feeling that some beautiful opportunities are on the horizon. Jill & Peter's wedding took place at a family barn that they cleaned and decorated just for the occasion. It looked as beautiful as all of the wedding venues I've been to this year. They did an incredible job! The wedding was small, intimate and exactly how I'd like my own wedding to be. Everyone was there to relax and spend a lovely evening with family. There was no stress, no time constraints, just love. Seriously, it was so perfect.

Congratulations, Jill & Peter! They also just had a baby, which you will see in some of the photos. So adorable!

Heidi & Karl's Whimsical Wedding at McMenamin's Edgefield | Portland, Oregon Wedding Photography

  Heidi and Karl’s whimsical wedding at McMenamin’s Edgefield was perfectly executed. It was the first Quaker wedding I’ve ever photographed and I’m so glad I got to experience it. The ceremony is more meditative than a typical wedding. Guests can share a story or thought if they’d like, but there’s no pressure to speak. They exchanged their rings and vows, but somehow it was a bit more natural and personal. Each guest was considered a witness and signed their marriage certificate. It was intimate and emotional, but in a different sort of way. I loved it.

The details were a perfect representation of Heidi and Karl. Mini Diana cameras and rare books were found on every table, with vintage-y Alice in Wonderland inspired table settings. They had a typewriter for the guests to write messages and a Heidi & Karl themed crossword puzzle. I can only hope that my wedding is as beautiful, comfortable and magical as this one.
