Vincent Noir | Vava Lingerie | The Bird Bones

It’s difficult to stay on top of blogging these days. I have so many shoots that I have yet to share with all of you! It’s so crazy that I go into a shoot and take hundreds of photos and then only share one on instagram. I guess I can blame it on social media. But I’ve turned over a new leaf and dedicated one day a week to blogging. It’s time to get these photo shoots online for people to see. Otherwise, they will just sit on my hard drive rotting away. In February, I did a shoot with a Portland based model named Vincent Noir. Alyssa, designer of Vava Lingerie, gave us one of her lingerie sets to use (the amazing black velvet 2 piece set). My good friend Gina Campbell, also known as The Bird Bones, did hair and makeup. Two of my all time favorite local jewelry designers, Theeth Jewelry & Morgaine Faye, let us borrow their incredible creations for the shoot. It is a tad NSFW, but I’ll let you decide for yourself. ;)

Double Dream Modeling Workshop | Portland, Oregon

Hey lovelies! I’ve teamed up with local PDX model, Ophelia Darkly, to offer a modeling workshop on September 27th! It’s just a few weeks away, and we have a limited number of spots available. It’s from 1-5 PM and it is $150/person for beginner and experienced models to pick up a few new tips. It includes a mini-shoot with me, and one on one training with Ophelia Darkly. If you bring a friend with you, you will both receive $25 off! To book a spot, contact me here or submit payment using Paypal to myles @ myleskatherine.com. You can also pay the day of the workshop. Location is yet to be determined and depends on the weather, but we will let you know a week before the workshop. It will be within the city limits of Portland. Contact me if you have any questions at all! It will be super fun and laid back. We hope to see you there!

Oh Thumbelina | Holly Stalder | The Bird Bones

This is probably one of my favorite shoots to date. All of the ladies involved in this shoot are super talented, motivated and inspiring. Holly Stalder is a local designer and owner of Portland boutique, Haunt. Her clothing is whimsical and delicate in the most beautiful way. I’ve already decided that Holly is going to make my wedding dress. :) Gina (aka The Bird Bones) is my go-to hair and makeup artist, if you haven’t noticed already. She fuses darkness and beauty in my favorite kind of way. The model, Alina Philips (aka Oh Thumbelina), is one of the best models I have ever worked with. She has developed quite a social media following, and for good reason. She is incredible at conveying emotion, and it is obvious that she works hard and is honest in everything that she does. She has a quiet confidence that radiates out of her work, and I’m honored that I’ve been able to work with her twice now (view our first shoot with Iron Oxide Designs). I’m so excited that this shoot was featured by Whim Magazine AND Dark Beauty Magazine. I’m obsessed with both of these magazines! I have another shoot coming up with Holly, Gina and a lovely model named Kayla. If you like this set, make sure to keep an eye out for that one too!
